The following are the methods and procedures used during WisCOSH elections and come from the WisCOSH Bylaws :

Article IV, Section vii Quorum. The members holding one-tenth of the votes which may be cast at any meeting shall constitute a quorum at such meeting. If a quorum is not present at any meeting of members, a majority of the members present may adjourn the meeting from time to time without further notice.
Article IV, Section viii Proxies Prohibited. Each individual member or delagate organizational representitive shall be entitled to one vote, and voting rights may not be exercised by proxies.
Article V, Section ii Board of Directors. The Board of Directors Shall consist of fifteen(15) directors and officers of the Corporation. Ten(10) directors shall be members of member unions. Five(5) directors shall be individual members. All directors shall be elected at the annual meeting, however, beginning in 1991, only 50% of the seats will expire each year. Officers and Directors will thus serve staggered terms.
Article VI, Section ii Election and Term of Office. The officers of the Corporation shall be elected annually by the membership at the regular annual meeting of the membership. If the election of officers shall not be held at such meeting, such election shall be held as soon thereafter as conveniently may be. New offices may be created and filled at any meeting of the membership. Each officer shall hold office until his/her successor shall have been duly elected and shall have qualified.

Only those members who are current with dues are able to vote in an election or run for an elected position. If the 'member' is an union organization they will be afforded the allotted number of votes according to the membership on which they pay dues and may nominate a member of the union to hold a position. In accord with the dues paid by an union members are allowed 1 vote for a membership of at least 1 but less than 351, or 2 votes for a membership of at least 351 but less than 1001 , or 3 votes for membership of more than 1001. Individual members are allowed one vote. Affiliated organizations are alloted no votes.
